(1) Introduction
Located 27 kilometers west of the Kongshan White Cloud Cave, the Scorpion Valley Forest Park is composed of 6 parts: Xiaotianchi, Changgou, Sanfeng Mountain, Sitai, Jinluandian Nao and Jiushu Nao, covering a total area of 50 km2. With an average altitude of above 900 meters, the whole area boasts a forest of 67,000mu, 40,000 of which is primeval. With a forest cover above 80%, a high content of ianion and an average mid-summer temperature of 23℃，the area remains untouched in the primeval eco-environment. So far it has been upgraded as National Forest Park.
(2) Project content
①The Lotus Pond: As the major scenic spot in the Park, it covers an area of 8km2. The project focuses on developing tourism infrastructure and ecological tourism, with a total investment of 80 million yuan. ②The Sanfeng Mountain: Covering an area of 10km2, the project focuses on developing tourism infrastructure and holiday villas to build an amusement park in Taihang Mountains. The total investment is 120 million yuan. ③ Jinluandian Nao scenic spot: Covering an area of 6km2, the project focuses on developing tourism infrastructure and holiday villas. The total investment is 30 million yuan. ④ Changgou scenic spot: Covering an area of 6 km2, the project focuses on developing tourism infrastructure along two 15-km-long valleys, where tourists can enjoy beautiful red leaves in autumn. The total investment is 10 million yuan. ⑤Jiayou Temple: Covering an area of 5km2, the project focuses on developing tourism infrastructure and holiday villas and restoring the Baiyun Temple of the Song Dynasty on its remains. The total investment is 20 million yuan.⑥a Cableway across the Lotus Pond: to build a 3000m-long cableway from the mountain foot to the Lotus Pond on the mountain top, with a total investment of 10 million yuan. ⑦Tianchi Villa: Located down the western side the mountain, at an altitude of 1,200meters, where there is a vast forest of pines and a clear pond, the white villa enjoys a splendid view. The total investment is 10 million yuan. ⑧ Pine Forest Cabins: 50 log cabins with built-in soft ladders for tourists will be put up amidst the pine trees. The total investment is 8.8 million yuan.
