(1) Introduction
As one of the earliest representative of China’s white porcelain, the Xing Porcelain once occupied an important position in China’s porcelain history. Together with Jingdezhen Porcelain, it was well known at home and abroad as “South Yue and North Xing”, which are of great value for research and development. The remains of the Xing Porcelain kiln is located in the boundary of Lincheng county, scattering on an area of 120 km2. So far more than 20 sites have been excavated, with a history dating from the Yuan dynasty to as early as the Sui dynasty. In 1991, Hebei Provincial Cultural Relics Institute did plenty of research, unearthing the remains of kiln, porcelain-ware fragments and tools, which serve as persuasive tangible evidence for studying the evolution and crafts of the Xing Porcelain.
(2) Project content
Lincheng County is rich in material for porcelain and pottery making. The reserve of refractory clay measures to be 200 million tons and that of bauxite 50million tons. By taking advantage of the above mentioned abundant materials and research findings, the project plans to integrate heritage protection, tourism, and porcelain research and craft into one, which mainly consists of porcelain products, specimen exhibition hall and porcelain workshop. The purpose of the project is to inherit and further the technique of porcelain production to fill in a gap in our country’s porcelain history. The total investment amounts to 250 million yuan, including 200million yuan foreign fund.

| The project is to be built close to Kongshan White Cloud Cave---a state AAAA-level tourist attraction, which is visited by 400,000-500,000 tourists per year, with a ticket sales income of 8 million yuan. The annual sales income of porcelain products is predicted to be 30 million yuan, including a profit of 12 million yuan. |
